What's behind the body art of the stars?
Who is not tattooed today, is almost considered an exotic. So this form of body art does not pass the stars. Of great interest on the part of the public, these tattoos are analyzed and speculated about the meanings behind them. We present some stars who have unpacked about their tattoos or about which fan theories circulate.
Lady Gaga
Everyone is aware that Lady Gaga is a world star. But she also has great role models. So a portrait of David Bowie landed under her skin! The singer also wears many other tattoos, but the left half of her body seems to have been spared. The reason for this is a promise she made to her father to spare at least a part of her body from the tattoo needle.
Rihanna
The Barbadian singer has a lot of tattoos on her body. She uses them to process important memories and experiences. Her most famous tattoo is the Egyptian goddess Isis under her breast, which she dedicated to her grandmother who died of cancer. She also has her zodiac sign Pisces behind her right ear, a tribal on her right hand, a drawing on her hand, a treble clef on her foot, a Sanskrit prayer on her hip, stars on her back as well as other Roman numerals, a sphinx and a musical note. On her collarbone she has immortalized a lettering, "Never a failure, always a lesson," but written backwards so she can read it herself in the mirror. What her numerous tattoos have in common is that they are all feminine and elegantly designed.
Rita Ora
Whether singer Rita Ora can still count her tattoos, we do not know. What is clear is that she has a lot of them. From a little heart on her finger, a tiny smiley on her ear to a dove on her neck and a pin-up girl on her ribs, there are so many sizes and styles represented. Which tattoo is our favorite of hers? Her little anchor on her wrist, of course.
Justin Bieber
A true work of art Justin Bieber has created from his body. On Instagram you can catch a few glimpses, Justin's entire upper body is now completely tattooed. In total, the singer has already spent over 100 hours under the needle! What he has to say about it: "I love art and have turned my body into a canvas". We are sure - there will be many more tattoos to come.
